HOME CARE NURSING SERVICE

The homecare nursing service is offered to patients with special needs, the elderly, or to those needing medical assistance due to:

Multiple Sclerosis
Head injuries (following an accident, surgery etc.)
Rehabilitation (after surgery, car accident etc.)
Stroke
Radiotherapy/Chemotherapy
Palliative care
Parkinson’s disease
Alzheimer’s
Diabetes
Arthritis
Mental or physical disabilities
Included in the homecare nursing service, nurses will assist in the following tasks:

Administering medication
Exercise routine
Hygiene needs
Recording fluid/food/supplements intake
Wound dressings
Catheter care
Assistance with mobility
Liaising with your public health nurse, G.P., the hospice homecare team, the patient and the family
Administering oxygen or nebulisers
Care of tracheotomy patients
Pressure area care
Administering PEG/NG feeds
