The ambulance service currently has 24 staff in Waterford City & 14 in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford. All staff are PHECC Registered Paramedics, with 7 staff being qualified as Advanced Paramedics. They provide 24 hour on duty cover to the people of the city , county and beyond. Since September 2013 we now have the NAS Intermediate Care Service operating out of Waterford station. this service will provide inter-hospital transfer, nursing home discharges in purpose built vehicles crewed by Intermediate Care Operatives.
