Tigin Montessori School

Tigín Montessori School Swords is a family-run childcare service established in 1988 by Dolores and Bryan Campion. We offer full day-care, Montessori Pre-School and After-School care for children from 4 months to 12 years of age. All our staff are fully qualifed in childcare and our School is located in a secure bespoke building featuring age-appropriate activity rooms, secure entry, and several secure external play areas. We have a HACCP-certified semi-industrial kitchen where fresh meals are prepared daily by our kitchen staff with fresh produce delivered to us by local suppliers. Our curricula are informed by the Síolta and Aistear frameworks and we are registered for the ECCE programme. Tigín is a member of Early Childhood Ireland.

The name "Tigín" means "Little House", and is a reference to "Casa Del Bambini" - the name given to the Montessori schools developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, the Italian Physician and Educator, whose ethos of "freedom-of-choice within a prepared environment" underpins the work we do at Tigín.
