More about The Yellow Pepper

Located in a building that once housed a shirt factory the Yellow Pepper on Letterkenny’s Lower Main Street has long collared the market for quality eating out in the North-West.
Owned and passionately operated by husband and wife team, Carol Meenan and Kieran Davis ... here is an ambience of friendly service in surroundings easy on the eye but never in it. And at the centre of it all, food of a standard of excellence and freshness that marks this restaurant out as the ultimate in dining experiences.
We pride ourselves on just how fresh, and local, our food is – sourced by ourselves from our own vegetable and herb gardens and all grown organically.
Our fish is bought directly from the piers at Killybegs and Greencastle, our oysters straight from Mulroy Bay, crab and lobsters landed at Ballyheerin Pier at Fanad Head, our salmon farmed and smoked in Killybegs, our beef and pork sourced from the Finn Valley and over the border along with our poultry products which also originate from County Monaghan.
Our two dining areas underwent complete refurbishment following a fire in 2009 that put us out of business temporarily but we’ve risen from the ashes and continue to provide those solid values that have marks the Yellow Pepper out as an eatery where superlatives only tell part of the story and a visit fully confirms it.
The restored shirt factory of McIntyre Hog and March that occupied the building dated back to the 1800’s.
But since the Yellow Pepper opened in 1994, it is, we firmly believe, the consistency of quality here that has left other such establishments hanging on our shirt tails.
