The Rathgar Bookshop

The Rathgar Bookshop is an award-winning bookshop in the heart of Rathgar. Formerly Dundrum Books, it moved to it's current location seven years ago and has gone from strength to strength, with a small coffee shop in the back offering coffees, teas and homemade cakes and cookies. These delicious treats can be enjoyed in the relaxing back garden on fine days or inside on colder days.




From March through to October, you'll find a wide selection of plants for sale from Mount Venus Nursery, with expert advice from green-fingered owner Liz Meldon.

It is the venue for cultural evenings on a regular basis with many authors, poets and musicians and is always very well supported by the local community.
The walls in the coffee shop are always adorned with exhibitions by local artists and changed regularly.
