Solas Louisburgh

Solas Louisburgh is a unique collection of beautiful art and crafts from Mayo to suit all pockets. The aim of the owners Susan Steward and Dolly Temple is to exclusively showcase the extraordinary creative talent that lies within the County of Mayo in the West of Ireland.
The Upstairs Gallery showcases the work of artists Anthony O'Brien and Jane Williams and is a creative space for the unusual and unexpected.
The quality of light is the attraction for many artists to this part of Ireland which is why the County of Mayo provides such a collection of excellent and imaginative arts and crafts.
The word Solas means Light and the shop logo depicts the light of the sun rising over the hills and Croagh Patrick in the east in the morning and setting over the waves and hills of Clare Island in the west at night.
The spacious shop allows for the display of a wide range of work such as driftwood art, jewellery, weaving, crochet and knitwear, feltwork, pottery and ceramics as well as scented candles, soaps, postcards, greeting cards, calendars and delicious homemade preserves.
