Sil's Bleeding Heart & Seoul

Sil's Bleeding Heart & Seoul has always been a goal of mine since being involved with manipulating all kinds of metals. With no prior art education, other than middle school art class, I decided to take artistic welding and from there I thought I would try my hand at making jewellery. The Business name was simply chosen from a few aspects of my life. Lee, Yung Sil is my Korean given name before being adopted into the Peterson family & the Bleeding-heart is one of my absolute, favourite flowers. My passion is working with metal & I can't begin to describe the feeling I have to start with nothing or something so plain and ending up with a design/piece that others will enjoy. My inspirations come from anything that is structured that also shows fluid, free movement because, really, that is life, & all of the earth's elements. I am very inspired by the works of Salvador Dali & HR Giger, two extremes, maybe, but that is me. Since moving from the States to Galway, Ireland, I have come across so many more things that have inspired me and it is now time to start Sharing. Thank you for everyone's Support.
