My name is Selene and I am originally from Dundalk but now living here and married to a local man ;-) I've practiced yoga on and off over the last 20 years and have recently become qualified to teach. I am qualified as a Vinyasa and Mindful Yin Yoga teacher and I am currently studying Ashtanga yoga. My latest adventure took me to London to practice with Sharath Jois, the Ashtanga yoga master whose grandfather established the Ashtanga system. Yoga has brought a sense of calmness and strength to my life which is why I practice it. Why I teach it is because I love it !!!

Class Description
All of the classes are fun and suitable for everyone to join in, it just depends on the level of energy you have, so read below to find out which one is most suitable for you now, or give me a call on 087 7988726.

Beginners Hatha Yoga Mon 6pm
Hatha yoga is openly available to anyone as it is a gentle, slow class making it great for beginners or students who prefer a more relaxed style. It is an introduction to the most basic yoga postures were poses are held for longer but as always students are encouraged to move at their pace.

Vinyasa Flow Tues 6pm
Essentially means movement synchronized with breath and is a more energetic style based on a flow from one posture to the next. Vinyasa classes are known for their fluidity but time can be taken to explain poses, giving a chance for a little rest  No two classes are the same giving a nice variety with a challenge but again students are encouraged to move at their pace.

Sports Yoga Mon 7pm
Many sports can create imbalance in the body and yoga can help to bring the body back into its natural alignment. Focusing on hatha yoga with alignment and strength, creating relaxation through the body as you work with the breath. Increased flexibility and focus also come with this practice.

Yin yoga with mindfulness Tues 7pm
A seated practice that involves no more than 4 or 5 poses, using gravity to allow deep relaxation of muscles, this along with mindfulness brings a great sense of calmness to the whole body. No effort is required for this style of yoga just relaxation, it is essential that you wear your most comfortable, warm, cosy clothes you have.
