More about Midleton Yoga Space

We offer a regular timetable of 21 drop-in classes per week, in a variety of yoga styles, including Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Hatha Flow, and Vinyasa Flow.

*** There is no need to book, just come along. ***

Ashtanga Yoga
A dynamic practice. This fast-paced, aerobic practice synchronises breath and movement to produce an internal heat. It is great for building core and upper body strength, gaining flexibility, and toning the body. By following a set sequence in each class, with a regular practice, you can expect to get results quickly.

Hatha Yoga
A balanced practice. This class is slower paced, following a traditional sequence of poses targeted at maintaing the health of the body. This style focuses on increasing flexibility and developing whole-body strength. Breathing techniques (pranayama) and relaxation are central to this practice.

Yin Yoga
A quiet practice. This style of yoga works deeply into the connective tissues of the body - fascia, ligaments, and joints. This is a modern practice, suited to those looking to increase joint mobility and range of movement, also helping to prevent injury. Expect to hold postures for a longer length of time. There is a large mindfulness element to the Yin practice.

Vinyasa Flow
An energetic practice. This modern, energetic style of yoga links movement and breath in a flowing sequence. Classes vary in focus - back bending, hip opening, core strengthening, for example.

Hatha Flow
A steady practice. This dynamic class is great for building strength and flexibility, with more of a workout than a Hatha Yoga class. Expect a different focus in each class.

Gentle Yoga
A calm practice. This class is suitable for all, including mature students, those with on-going injuries, and people with limited mobility. It encourages the development and maintenance of strength and flexibility. If, on any given day, you are looking for a gentle practice, then this class will be right for you.

Gentle Flow
A slow practice. This class offers a slow-paced, varied, flowing sequence. Flowing with the breath, and moving with control, this class will help to develop whole-body strength and flexibility.

Beginners Level Hatha
A supportive practice. This class will give a foundation in the postures of Hatha Yoga, with plenty of demonstrations and time for explanations of the different poses. This is suitable for beginners, those wanting to build confidence, and people who wish to learn more about alignment.

We also run 6-week Hatha Yoga courses for beginners. These are the only classes that need to be booked in advance. Please check out our 'Events' to find out when our next courses are starting.

Our teachers are fully qualified, insured, and registered with Yoga Alliance Professionals UK.
