McCloskey McCafferty Academy of Irish Dance

Our An Comhdhail Irish Dance school was originally founded in 2004 by Ulster and All-Ireland & International Irish Dance Champion, Colleen McCloskey TCRG.

The McCloskey School of Irish Dancers have won many Regional Irish Dancing Championships both solo dancing and team dancing and we have recently gained an Ulster champion and a World Champion in 2012!

In 2013, Nuala McCafferty TCRG joined our school as a teacher and we changed our name to The McCloskey McCafferty Academy of Irish Dance. Since then, we have gained yet another Ulster Champion and are continuing to win more and more Regional Championships!

Dancers from our academy are continuously taking part in many events throughout the year, including wedding performances, public performances and have previously been involved with Dance Fusion, a dance act created to entertain at various City of Culture 2013 events, mixing Irish Dance with Hip Hop. They had so much fun!

The McCloskey McCafferty Academy is in full swing and continuing to grow, as teachers Colleen & Nuala work amazingly together and bring the very best of Irish Dance out of any girl or boy who decides to join their school!
