Lúnasa School of Drama

Lúnasa School of Drama is a workshop which offers children aged 4-17 with an opportunity to use their imagination, improve self confidence, meet new people, learn new skills and most importantly of all have fun! in a supportive and safe environment. Drama is not simply about acting, it's also about acquiring social and life skills that will stay with children throughout their lives.

The classes will look at introductory activities, theatre history, speech, creative movement, structural improvisation and more. Drama provides a unique gateway to learning and affords a dimension that is otherwise inaccessible.

I have a Bachelor of Arts (honours) in Drama from the University of Ulster and I have also completed my Postgraduate Diploma. At present I am writing my MA thesis. My love of Irish history, storytelling and folklore has led me to pursue this career in teaching Drama classes to children and young adults and share my interests with them. Along with my background in Drama, I have also completed a screen-writing course with award winning writer/director and film maker Orla Walsh.
