Little Starlings is a purpose built pre-school which provides a high quality preschool programme based upon the “Play Based Learning” philosophy. Our aim is to cater for the individual needs of each child in all of their developmental areas. Little Starlings playschool has implemented Aistears’ (Irish for Journey) curriculum framework. We plan and provide for an enjoyable and challenging learning experience for each young child. Each child can learn to grow and develop as competent and confident learners under Aistears four themes; Well-being, Identity and Belonging, Communicating & Exploring and Thinking. Little Starlings playschool also supports Siolta (Irish for Seed) the National Quality Framework for the Early Childhood Care and Education. Siolta is a participatory process towards the improvement and enrichment of young children’s lives in early year’s services.
Outdoor Playground:
Our playschool will provide a child friendly outdoor playground within a safe and secure environment. All play equipment is age appropriate with safety flooring, which has shock absorbing anti-bacterial qualities.


Qualified Playschool Leader:
I'm currently in my last year of a Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies and Practice in the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG, Hetac level 8).
