Lisselan Estate

The extensive Estate offers a 9 hole golf course , which is one of the most challenging and picturesque in Ireland, set on 80 acres of woodland with the River Argideen flowing through.

The Gardens at Lisselan were laid out in Robinsonian style and are very popular amongst gardening enthusiasts. There are many impressive features in the gardens, including the rockery, which is described by Shirley Lanigan, author of 100 Best Gardens in Ireland" as the "glory of the garden. It is one of the most beautiful features the county, breathtaking and definitely worth traveling for".

Lisselan Estate is the perfect destination for your wedding. At Lisselan you and your wedding guests enjoy exclusive use of the Estate. We have several lawned areas for your wedding marquee. Allow the River Argideen, the manicured lawns, mature woodlands, the rustic bridges and the sloping rockery to be the perfect backdrop for your wedding day in West Cork.

Outdoor Ceremonies
There are several areas on the Estate that are spectacular for outdoor ceremonies; on the banks of the River Argideen which flows through the Estate, in the mature woodland, or on the lawn with the rose trellis and extensive rockery as a backdrop.

Lisselan Estate holds some of the best private stretches of the River Argideen for salmon and sea trout fishing. There is one mile of double bank with ten pools and a mile of single bank fishing. Guided fly fishing tours can be arranged with our local ghillie.
