Leinster Horse and Pony Rescue

Leinster Horse & Pony Rescue (LHPR) charity was set up by a small group of friends who had very little resources and a deep sense of injustice at the suffering of abandoned horses in Ireland, and a passion for change.

The Leinster Horse & Pony Rescue (L.H.P.R) is a voluntary organization dedicated to the welfare of horses and ponies in Leinster. L.H.P.R rescue, rehabilitate and rehome equines that have been subject to abuse, neglect, abandonment and deprivation. We respond to emergency calls regarding injured or distressed horses and ponies. We also carry out talks and presentations on responsible horse ownership and horse welfare to schools and colleges.From nothing has grown this beautiful organisation. We rescue, rehabilitate, re-train and re-home Ireland's forgotten horses and ponies.
