The Space

I offer a choice of three guest rooms and another guest room soon to be online in Spring 2015. The three guest rooms are The Willow Room,
The Gardenia Room:
The Gardenia Room has newly been refurbished, painted in a powder cream and subtle greens and olives are dotted around the room to create a relaxed space. 28 inch wide screen tv is in the room also, I will leave a Continental Breakfast out for you.

The Royal Room aptly named as I have a great interest in all things Royal, from the Tudor Period to the present House of Bernadotte the current Swedish Royal Family to choose but one. The Royal Room is on the second floor and beside the main Bathroom. tastefully decorated in White, with some subtle pops of Green to enhance the view onto my patio garden. The Room is spacious with 4 foot bed and voile canopy. The bed itself sleeps one person very comfortably and two people very intimately. If your reservation is for two people although I would suggest you look at my other guest bedroom "The Gardenia Room" listed on my airbnb host profile as that has a larger bed. Bedroom furniture in the Royal Room includes access to two bedside lockers and lamps, French Antique full length mirror, Beech wood wardrobes that is your space for your clothes and luggage storage. Ceiling spotlights with dimmer switch and there is also a comfy chair for you to relax in although not a throne I hope you enjoy your stay. The Bed linen is Egyptian Cotton, fresh towels and face cloth. The bedroom has wifi, hair dryer, mini drinks fridge, and dressing robe with slippers should you wish to avail of.

Guest Access

I provide guests with car parking on my gated driveway free of charge, Guests have access to most of the rooms in my home except my own personal living room and bedroom. On arrival to my front door guests will either be staying in The Royal Room on the second floor or the The Gardenia Room on the ground floor. Guests are welcomed into the communal Dining Room which seats 8 People maximum, Guests have access to this room at Breakfast time. Flowing through from the dining room is The Sun Room, a south facing bright room which leads directly onto my landscaped patio garden. There is also a downstairs toilet and wash hand basin for guest use.

Interaction with Guests

Having had many years in the Hotel Industry I am an outgoing person at the best of times but I adapt well to all individuals and personalities. I am fairly new to airbnb and have only had positive experiences to date, I have had guests stay with me that are corporate guests who just want a quiet overnight stay before work the following morning as well as some avid trekkers who are travelling europe and chose my space to regenerate themselves for more sightseeing for the following days.
Where possible I always endeavor to greet you in the morning for your self service continental breakfast unfortunately due to many guests itineraries I cannot always bide you farewell at sunrise.
I spend a lot of time at my home through studying and gardening so Im almost always at hand to help you with any questions should they arise.
Im fortunate that I can organise transport for you as I have two family members that are local taxi drivers so Airport Transfers can be arranged on enquiry, I also do meet and greet on arrival. I am the proud owner of a 2 year old Bichon Frise (Hypo Allergenic) but she too has her own designated areas, I am a smoker but only smoke in my own private sitting room which is closed off from Guest areas. With my abundance of scented candles it has not yet been an issue with any of my guests.

The Neighbourhood

My home is in the area of Blanchardstown/Clonsilla historical to its core and yet a swift 30 minutes from the city centre by train or bus.

Getting around

I am a 1 minute walk from the bus stop to the city centre of Dublin and a 10 minute walk from the Clonsilla train station. I am aprroximately 20 minute drive from Dublin International Airport.

Other Things to Note

There is a first aid box at the hallway on the second floor.
There are takeaway menus in the kitchen area should you wish to watch a movie in the Sunroom with a pizza slice.
The house has smoke alarms in designated spots
The house is secured by a 24 hour immediate response security company.
