Helplink Support Services is a charitable organisation that provides accessible Mental Health and Conflict Resolution services.

SERVICES & PROGRAMMES

Counselling Service: Helplink’s qualified, Garda vetted counsellors are available for appointments 7 days a week from 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday and 12 to 6 pm Saturday and Sunday. Since its inception, our Counsellors have provided over 4000 appointments to clients online nationally and also face-to-face (Galway only). We provide General Counselling, Play Therapy, Art Therapy, Hypnotherapy, Couples Counselling and Bereavement Therapy within this service.

Irish Abroad Service (Cabhrú): with the support of the Minister for Diaspora, the Department of Foreign Affairs, the GAA, An Post and others we provide a free online counselling service for Irish people who have emigrated; beginning with Irish passport holders in Australia. his year we aim to expand the service to Canada and the U.S.A.

Employee/Corporate Services: as part of our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) we provide employees and management of companies/organisations with affordable workshops on how to reduce stress, be mindful and increase positive communication among staff and between staff and customers. Our EAP also provides a unique pay-as-you-go Staff Counselling Service which is available 7 days a week, face-to-face in Galway City and online or by phone nationwide.

Conflict Resolution Centre (CRC): in our CRC centre there is a donation based Mediation Service for people dealing with family/housing or community disputes; in addition we provide Ireland’s first national Online Mediation Service. The CRC has also developed and piloted a programme for the community beginning with secondary schools. This programme, called 'Changing Conflict', provides people with the skills and techniques to manage conflict in a more productive manner.
