Hazel Comyn Designs

Hazel Comyn is an Award Winning Irish Designer breaking into the Irish Bridal Market. Her elegant bridal designs represent a modern girl, but bring with them a sense of tradition and heritage. Originally from Cork, but now based in Kerry she travels all over Munster taking inspiration from the beauty in nature and the clean lines of modern architecture. Through her exploration she discovered a love of Irish crafts especially handmade lace which she now incorporates into her designs. Her beautiful handmade Limerick Lace pieces bring back a timeless tradition of passing a lace piece from generation to generation each bringing their own unique story and memories.

Hazel graduated from Mallow College of Design and Tailoring and won Designer of the Year with her graduate collection. She also won Irish Student Designer of the Year 2014 at Kerry Fashion Week. Her work has featured in many publications including the Irish Times, The Sunday Business Post, The Examiner, The Independant, Like Magazine and Social and Personal. Her designs have also featured on The Today Show and Xpose. She currently has her own studio/boutique in Cahersiveen, Co Kerry. She still travels to Cork to meet clients on a regular basis.

All her work is Designed and Handmade in Ireland using beautiful luxurious fabrics. Most of her lace is handmade using traditional techniques with original designs and can be designed to include the personalities and stories of the girl who wears it. She aims to bring out the inner Goddess in her designs and pays special attention to the perfect fit and intricate embellishment.
