Harvey’s Bar opened on Manor Street, Waterford City on December 8th, 2005. A first of its kind, Harvey’s Bar has the largest garden bar area in the South East. The sheltered and heated garden bar is 6,000 sq foot in size with over 400 plants, 80 palm trees and expertly crafted water features imported from all over the world.

Harvey’s occupies the old Shefflins premises, which was sold to the Kavanagh’s several years ago. Brothers Darryl and Chris Kavanagh spent €1.7 million transforming the bar into something Waterford has never seen before, a bar with excellent food, somewhere people can relax, enjoy a drink and a smoke in a custom-built heated garden bar.

A team of landscape gardeners were engaged from Portugal to design and build the 6000 sq ft garden area. It has over 400 plants, 80 palm trees and expertly crafted water features imported from all over the world.

The Kavanagh’s have drawn on their years as second generation publicans in Waterford to make Harvey’s one of the best bars not only in Waterford but in the country.
