Geokaun Mountain and Cliffs is a family mountain park. You can walk or drive to the summit which is 888feet/270metres high. There are 3 parking areas at intervals to the top, so it is very accessible and enjoyable for anyone, from kids to experienced hikers. There are 4 viewing areas, including a viewing deck at (180 metre/600 feet) cliffs. The summit is the highest point on Valentia Island, so you can see amazing sights such as The Skelligs, Dingle and The Blaskets, Kerry's highest peak- Carrantouthal, Beginis Island, Valentia lighthouse, Portmagee, and the Atlantic stretching Westwards as far as the eye can see. Enjoy your lunch at any of the picnic tables at various locations on the mountain. Also, there are 36 information panels about the mythology, history, wildlife and geography of the area.
