More about Fulacht Fiadh Restaurant

The Fulacht Fiadh Restaurant is themed on the archaeological and historical exhibits in the park. The horse-shoe shaped stone wall surrounding our open log fire is a contemporary interpretation of a Fulacht Fiadh (an ancient cooking site).

However it also represents a stone circle and the chimney breast represents an Ogham stone. Throughout the restaurant you will see ironwork representing the wattle palisade of the Crannog. The tables are made of Irish Elm and are designed on the structure of a Dolmen. The Ironwork is styled on the pin of a Tara brooch.

The Fulacht Fiadh Restaurant is a self-service restaurant, which overlooks the crannog and lake with an outdoor seating area on the terrace. Traditional home cooked food is served throughout the day with early morning snacks and a full lunch menu with vegetarian options. Children’s menu also available. Enjoy a glass of wine with your meal or treat yourself to an afternoon tea with a selection of our delicious treats and desserts.

You are welcome to come and enjoy our restaurant facilities throughout the year without visiting the Park itself. Come and enjoy our Irish hospitality and Wexford charm while you savour your meal looking out over the picture postcard setting of the Crannog, nestled in the tall grasses surrounding the lake.
