Education Matters

Education Matters was first established in 1987 as a newsprint publication to provide an independent platform for teachers, parents and all those interested in education. It quickly established itself as a quality periodical, covering breaking news and providing in-depth analysis of the big issues in education.

Over the years it was carried as a supplement by various national newspapers including The Sunday Times and The Sunday Tribune.

In 2001, Education Matters transferred to the internet and re-launched itself as an education news website with weekly alerts of new content.

Education Matters published its first Yearbook in 2006. This annual compendium of facts and analysis by leading educationalists is a unique repertory of information and insight on Irish education. As a critical reference guide to the year in Irish education, it is essential reading for practicing educators and interested parents.#
