Brazilian jiu-jitsu (Jiu-Jitsu Brasileiro port.) - A martial art and combat international sports, the foundation of which is the fight on the ground, as well as painful and suffocating receptions. This art originated in the early twentieth century from Kodokan Judo [1] [2], which was an independent young system (founded in 1882), formed by numerous schools (Ryu) of Japanese Jiu-jitsu.

This art is based on the principle that people poorly developed physique can successfully defend against a stronger opponent, using proper technique (painful holds and strangulation), and beat him. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ, BDD) can be trained for different purposes: self-defense, sport, competition (both gi and no) and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Sparring (also referred to in BJJ Rolling) and full contact training play a major role in the training and preparation for competitions.
