Donegal International Car Push 2017

Donegal International Car Push 2017 in association with Divers Hyundai, DMG Motors, Donaghey Van Centre, Hegartys Ford, Highland Motors, Inishowen Motors, JJ Reid Motors, Kellys Toyota, Manor Motors, McGinley Motors & S&R Motors.

The Donegal International Car Push 2017 is a race between eleven of Donegal’s main car dealers to raise money for Relay for Life Donegal. The event is taking place on Thursday 25th May 2017 with the first car leaving the start line on the Canal Road Letterkenny Co Donegal @ 7pm. Each dealer is pushing their car for 3 kilometers leaving the start line at two minute intervals and racing against the clock. The cars are being pushed by staff members of each garage. To add to the excitement and the fun of the event each dealer is getting a Rally Driver/Celebrity to steer the car around the course.The fastest time earns that garage bragging rights for a full year!

The cars will go through scrutiny @ 6.30pm & the drivers briefing is @ 6.45pm then the first car leaves the start line @ 7pm so come along early to soak up the atmosphere of the whole event.

There are a number of rally drivers & sports stars confirmed to be driving on the night including previous Donegal International & National rally winners. Check our page & the dealers pages for updates and driver announcements.

After the car push is finished there is a 5K fun run & walk starting at 7.45pm taking place on a flat course so PB’s possible. Registration is in Divers Hyundai Garage, Canal Rd. Letterkenny from 6pm.

After both events are finished there will be prize giving ceremony on the finish ramp with the presentations being made by Amy Callaghan Donegal Rose - Rose of Tralee.

Refreshments will also be served in the Divers Hyundai garage.

All funds raised before and during the Relay for Life Donegal event this year will go directly to a major research programme presently underway at Letterkenny University Hospital for cancer survivors.
