David Donnelly Active Kids

David Donnelly Active Kids is all about introducing children to sport & physical activity in a FUN & inclusive way! It's about providing fun fitness and mini-basketball sessions to children from aged 3 to 12 in schools, after-school clubs, public classes and at camps. The fun fitness classes teach children the ABC's of physical literacy (Agility, Balance, Co-Ordination & Speed). Activities include tag games, obstacle courses, team games, gymnastic stretches & roles, animal walks, throwing, catching, kicking, striking with a stick & much more! The mini-basketball sessions include much of the same while also providing a fun introduction in an age appropriate way to the skills of basketball. A variety of equipment is used including balance beams, agility ladders, hurdles, soft balls & mini-basketball hoops. David Donnelly is a qualified teacher & coach and also a parent of two young children. Currently public classes take place on Mondays in the Mill Community Centre, Celbridge. David runs the Little Saints mini-basketball academy on Wednesdays in St. Vincent's School, Glasnevin. On Tuesdays & Thursdays there are 'DD Active Kids' after-school clubs in Scoil Mochua, Celbridge.
