The aim of The Cruise Centre Young Driver programme is to educate young people to have a more mature attitude to driving while gaining practical experience behind the wheel.
European Road Safety research has found that it is not the age that is important for young driver road safety, but more so the number of hours that young drivers have over an extended period of time before taking their driving test. Research also shows that early driving experiences reduces the road traffic accidents by 40%. With 1 in 5 young people being involved in a traffic accident within 6 months of passing their driving test, any move that reduces this statistic can only be describing as positive.
"I firmly believe in this project, Evolving Youth Drivers Club, the latest innovative road safety project organised by the Cruise Centre."
