Connemara Green Festival

The Connemara Green Festival is an exciting new festival in its 2nd year which celebrates Mother Nature, aims to raise awareness of the unique ecology of Connemara and raise funds for biodiversity projects.

Our theme this year is ‘Ecology, Food and Landscape’. The festival takes place from Friday 7th October to Sunday 9th October and is based in Letterfrack village, Connemara, at the foot of the majestic Connemara National Park on the Wild Atlantic Way.

Enjoy inspiring events including walks with local ecologists and historians, nature workshops, foraging on the seashore, bird watching, hill walks, fauna & flora, exhibitions, activities and delicious local artisan foods. Workshops led by Leave no Trace, pond dipping in the Connemara National Park, and kayaking in Barnaderg Bay. Kids and adults welcome.

Come taste the delicious foods of the Wild Atlantic Way at our sumptuous Green Feast - a 6 course tasting menu starting in Connemara National Park and then winding through the village, sampling various organic and locally sourced artisan foods in local establishments.
