Services & Facilities
There are five houses available all year round for guests. Each house consists of a large, spacious living room - dining area and kitchen. Cottage 1,2 & 3 have a solid fuel stove with oil central heating, Shackleton cottage & lakeshore cottage have oil stoves with central heating. The cottages are furnished to a high standard that complements the all timber interiors,which makes them extra cosy and comfortable.

The kitchen is equipped with all cooking utensils etc. There are three bedrooms one with king size bed, one with double bed and one with two single beds. Bathroom with shower and w.c.

There are facilities for washing and drying linen on the site.

Each house has microwave facilities, tv, cd players and dvd facilities on request.We also provide fold-up cot and high chair if you book in advance.

Since we are on the lakeshore you can hire a boat with engine for going out on the lake for the day/week but you are also welcome to use the boat without engine on request.

Each house is secluded and has it's own outside deck and picnic area. Linen and towels are provided free of charge. As we are resident on site we can deal with all questions and queries as best as possible. The houses are landscaped so as to give maximum privacy between each other on our three acre lakeshore site.The landscaping has been done with native shrubs an trees and those that support birds, wildlife etc. We have a recycling policy in place and we encourage our guests to help us segregate their waste, using the bins provided and help the overall running our space in the best way possible.

We aspire to become more sustainable and ecologically sound as we plan and move forward.

We haven't achieved the EU flower for green accommodation but we are working to achieve this in the next two years.

We see ourselves as blessed to live in such a natural and unspoiled environment and like sharing it with those who aspire to the same ideals.
Organic Vegetable Basket

For those that would like we can order a basket of local organic produce to await you on arrival to your cottage on Saturday.The deliveries are made each Friday evening and we need to know a week in advance.

The average cost of a large basket is 30 Euro and includes a mix of vegetables grown locally by Tony Garaghy of Lough Boora Farm.


The Thatch
If you would like to book the houses for a family get together or group party we can offer the thatch as an ideal place to have a get together. The building consists of room size 550sq ft or approx 50sq metres. The area includes a small kitchen to serve food and includes dishwasher and catering requirements incl burco boiler etc..It also includes bathroom facilities.

The room has a dvd, tv and surround sound system also.

Parties that have taken place to date are family birthday party for 90 people, product launches and small corporate Christmas and New Years Eve parties. Caterers can be booked by the client or we can recommend a list of local caterers for you.

The Crannog

The crannog adjoins the thatch and and can be booked with the thatch for unique occasions.

It could also be an ideal wedding venue for a couple looking for a unique location for an ecological wedding!

The Marina
The marina was has been worked on in the last few years to make it possible for people with boats and cruisers to use the facilities on the site. The depth of the harbour will accomodate most cruisers and when arriving to our place, we need to give you some advise for safe approach, as one needs to be familiar with Rinardoo Bay on the maps. The best approach is by staying close to St Mark's shore coming into the bay. Our cottages are ideal for staying on shore and using your cruiser to tour the lake by day.
