Care Foundation

The Care Foundation is a therapeutic community. We work within the wider community to help heal, foster, and sustain those whose are troubled. There are many ways in which a person’s journey towards their full potential can be interrupted in our harsh, competitive world.

This may manifest as depression, anxiety, withdrawal, isolation, addiction, criminal or anti-social behaviour, self-harmand thoughts of suicide. We at The Care Foundation believe in facilitating fresh starts and second chances.

We endeavour to look beyond the public face and see the real person hidden underneath. We accept people into our community and seek to help them to rediscover their true potential. Within The Care Foundation, a person gains access to work, support, and friendship.

Since its inception in 2003, The Care Foundation has helped many people throughout Ireland to overcome a wide variety of obstacles, thereby experiencing a new sense of well-being.

Today, we have over one hundred members, some as paid staff, some as volunteers. No paid staff receives more than the minimum hourly wage. Many of us continue to receive support as we struggle to overcome our own afflictions and find positive mental and spiritual health.
