Since homeopathy is used to treat people rather than illnesses, anyone can benefit from homeopathic treatment. Homeopathy works effectively in a wide variety of acute and chronic problems including infectious disease, allergies, gynaecological difficulties, digestive problems, and so on.

Remedies

When a remedy is given it will be an individualised prescription, based on all the symptoms, including physical, mental and emotional state.
Homeopathic remedies are derived from plants, minerals and other naturally occurring substances. They can be made from plants like Arnica, minerals such as salt, elements such as iron, animal extract such as snake venom.
Remedies are prepared via a unique, highly controlled process of dilution, which renders them non-toxic yet, paradoxically, more effective. Remedies are prepared by strictly regulated Homeopathic pharmacies. Remedies are cost effective, eco-friendly and not tested on animals.

How long will treatment last?
This depends on the type of complaint, as well as other individual characteristics of your case. Most complaints clear up rapidly, longstanding, chronic conditions may take longer to improve but patients usually have a sense of change from the beginning of treatment.

The Homeopathic Consultation

The first consultation typically lasts approximately one hour. A detailed case history will be taken, including your own medical history and that of your family if relevant. As Homeopathy treats the whole person your Homeopath will want to understand a bit about you as a person.
A remedy will be selected that fits you and your symptoms best. This remedy is designed to stimulate your healing process. The remedy can take different forms, depending on the prescription. It can be pills or liquid.

Follow-up visits last approximately 30-45 minutes and take place approximately 5-8 weeks. Changes in your symptoms will be looked at and your prescription will be reviewed.

My interest in homeopathy flows from that interest in people. I learned ways to help people at an individual level by assisting them in reaching their potential to live a healthy life.
