Bagua Zhang - Dublin School

Bagua Zhang literally means "eight trigram palm", referring to the trigrams of the I-Ching, and is universally considered the most important among the Chinese martial arts.

It's a unique style created in the second half of the 19th century by Master Dong Haichuan; it incorporates health principles as well as devastating attacks, which are performed through sharp movements tapping the "inner strenght" of the whole body and rely on solid physical principles, making every technique extremely effective in combat.

Bagua Zhang has been taught along a pure lineage from its creator Dong Haichuan to Yin Fu inside the Forbidden City, then to Gong Baotian, Wang Zhuanfei and ultimately to Grand Master Wang Hanzhi, founder of the International Baguazhang Association.
The first scholar of Wang Hanzhi is Master Zhang Dugan, who is teaching Bagua Zhang in Shanghai and in Europe following the traditional principles of the style.

Bagua Zhang is also called "the Divine Style" or "Tianxiadiyi Quan", meaning "The First Style on Earth" and it's considered the deepest treasure of Chinese kung fu.
