Ninja Training Cork

The Bujinkan Organisation teaches the martial arts of nine Samurai and Ninja schools. These schools were founded by warriors who survived battles and deadly encounters and lived to pass on what they had learnt. At the time when these schools were most active the techniques were kept secret because of the advantage they gave to the practitioners in combat situations. Nowadays the techniques are still as relevant as people move and fight with the human body in much the same way that they did hundreds of years ago.
The youth classes aim to teach the foundation and structure of the basic Bujinkan techniques in an age appropriate manner. The classes are structured to be challenging, energetic and fun. They will involve fitness drills, stretching and pad work (kicking and punching pads). We will also look at throws and some weapon work - sword and stick fighting.
All of the exercises and drills will be done taking into account the fact that the student's bodies are still in a growth and development phase where 'hard' training is not suitable for healthy development.
Safety is a key feature built into all of the drills and the classes take place on padded flooring. Parents are welcome to sit in on the classes to get a feel for the teaching style.
