Newpark Jazz Grad Fest

As Newpark reaches the end of another school year, the final year students have an opportunity to show their talents in the ultimate jazz forum – ensemble performance. In what amounts to a festival of young Irish jazz over two weeks The Kevin Barry Room of the National Concert Hall, 19 groups lead by 19 different musicians will take to the stage and perform a program of original music devised and developed by these wonderful players. The class this year is comprised of players from Ireland, Spain, Venezuela, Israel, Romania, Palestine, Georgia, Germany and Japan. This combination of cultures and backgrounds will surely lead to some unique and interesting music throughout the festival.
