Harmania Indie Choir

Harmania is an Indie Choir that’s open to all regardless of what you feel your singing ability is (most people are better singers than they realise!!). It is our belief that with the right guidance EVERYONE can sing!!! You will be taught proper vocal technique, warm-ups and exercises. We sing arrangements of well known (and some not so well known) Indie and Pop songs, Bluegrass, Americana and Folk songs. We sing anything from Fleetwood Mac to the Fleetfoxes and everything in between (within reason!!!) There is no audition to join the choir and we learn everything by ear. You will never be asked to sing on your own unless of course you want to!!! Our aim is primarily to have fun and meet other people that like to sing BUT we would also like to work towards public performances for various types of events. We rehearse every Monday night in the Edmund Rice Heritage Centre, Barracks St at 8:15pm - 9:45pm. All you need to bring along in your voice and some GOOD VIBES !!!!

We have a 2nd branch to the choir of about 12 members. This section is auditioned for and is for people that may have some formal musical training, is confident in performing and is interested in doing extra rehearsals and paid gigs..
