Filibuster Comedy Club

Set up in 2013 by Adam Leahy, John Spillane, Stephen Ryan, Donnchadh Tiernan and Ruairi Moore, Limerick comedy group Filibusters have proved themselves to be a constant force in Limerick's comedy and arts scene.

With monthly shows showcasing the most cutting edge Irish comedy on offer at the Blind Pig (Thomas Street), there's always something going on at Filibusters Comedy Club.

They have been known to make jaunts to the Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny, OUT For The Weekend Festival in Kilkenny, Dublin's Beatyard Festival and Limerick's Tom Cat Festival.

Filibusters also hosted the 'Filibuster Comedy Hour' on Limerick City Community Radio for two years, as well as producing a number of comedy sketches available on their YouTube page - www.youtube.com/FilibustersComedy

Never content to stay in one medium, Filibusters have also ventured into theatre having produced The Wild Geese (written and directed by Adam Leahy) in Kilkenny and Limerick and Tracy Letts' Killer Joe in Limerick's Lucky Lane.
