Conlon Consulting Engineering was founded in 2014 by Edward Conlon.
Edward is a Chartered Engineer who holds an Honours Degree in Engineering from University College Dublin (UCD). He has extensive and detailed professional experience in the Construction and Manufacturing industry, spanning 13 years.
Edward worked as an Operations Manager in a large Construction Company that operates within Ireland and the UK. He was tasked with overseeing a number of projects up to the value of £10 million, ranging from pre-tender to post-construction. In this role he was responsible for supervising Contract Managers and Quantity Surveyors on a wide range of schools and residential projects. Edward reviewed tenders on behalf of the company’s estimating department to establish the resources required to construct various projects. Edward had experience in bid-writing – often drafting both tender and construction programmes. He had over-all responsibility for the procurement of materials and sub-contractors on various projects, along with regularly negotiating with a large number of suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure value engineering for both the Client and the company. Edward reviewed any contractual issues that arose from a project and implemented steadfast resolutions. Within this role He was responsible for customer relations and the day-to-day management of contracts.
Prior to this Edward worked for a large international engineering consultancy where Edward was involved in the project management of a number of multi-million euro infrastructure schemes throughout Ireland.

Prior to this Edward worked for an Manufacturing Engineering company for 7 years that specializes in the design and manufacture of injection moulds, where Edward rose through the company, gaining experience in both design and manufacture elements of the business.
